The Wireline Competition Bureau has issued an Order providing additional guidance on the requirements for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) ahead of the 60-day transition period that began on December 31, 2021. The Bureau has decided to partially waive its rules regarding reimbursement within the transition period and has eliminated the January 1, 2022 snapshot rule for discounts provided to newly enrolled households. The Bureau also clarified that Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program enrolled households will continue to receive their monthly broadband benefit at the EBB Program support amount until March 1, 2022.
