The Wireline Competition Bureau has announced that it will apply a 45-day extension on top of its 90-day review period of the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program applications. The Bureau found this extension necessary due to the 181 applications filed, of which 162 have been found to be acceptable for filing, requesting a total of $5.6 billion. Thus, the FCC must act on Reimbursement Program application by June 15, 2022.
The FCC has also encouraged applicants to review the Finalized Reimbursement Public Notice, released on Aug. 3, 2021, which adopted the final procedures for the application filing process.
