The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has directed the Universal Service Administrative Company to fully fund all eligible category one and category two funding requests for funding year 2022. With $500 million in unused funds from prior years and a $4.46 billion funding cap for funding year 2022, there is sufficient funding to satisfy the estimated demands for category one services, $1.64 billion, and category two services, $1.51 billion.
