The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau and Office of Economics and Analytics have released an Erratum correcting the Public Notice from December 13, 2024, announcing the results of the 2025 Urban Rate Survey for fixed voice and broadband services.
The Erratum corrects the date by which each eligible telecommunications carrier (ETC), including competitive ETCs providing fixed voice services, must certify in the FCC Form 481 that the pricing of its basic residential voice services is no more than $55.55. Certifications in the FCC Form 481 must be filed no later than July 1, 2026.
Additionally, carriers subject to the Alaska Plan and Alaska Communication Systems must now certify that they are meeting the relevant reasonable comparability benchmark for their broadband service offering in the FCC Form 481 no later than July 1, 2026.
