The FCC has pushed back by three months its December 2, 2015 deadline for certain National Information Infrastructure (U-NII) devices to meet revised Part 15 requirements in order to be certified. The FCC previously extended this deadline earlier this year. The FCC’s April 2014 order that modified the U-NII rules and testing procedures remains the subject of petitions for reconsideration that are still pending, and interested parties continue to submit new alternative proposals. In light of this recent activity, the FCC found there to be good cause to waive and extend the certification deadline to March 2, 2016.
