President-elect Donald Trump has announced that he plans to nominate Senate Armed Services Committee Republican staffer Olivia Trusty for the to-be-open FCC Commissioner seat vacated by Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel, who will be resign on January 20. Previously, Trusty also was a staffer for the Senate Commerce Committee. Commissioners Carr and Gomez have issued statements in support of the nomination.
