Verizon Wireless, along with its parent company Verizon Communications, Inc., and T-Mobile US, Inc., together with its parent company Deutsche Telekom AG have received clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act to proceed with their agreement to swap spectrum. The deal, announced on January 6, 2014, will see T-Mobile US, Inc. acquire all of Verizon Wireless’ 700 MHz Band A Block spectrum in exchange for $2.365 billion in cash plus various AWS and PCS licenses worth an estimated $950 million.
