According to an announcement posted in the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Public Reporting System, Stage 2 of the Forward Auction will officially begin on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 am ET with a two-round schedule. Bidding rounds will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET and 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM ET each business day until further notice.
The new clearing target will be $54.6 billion, down from $88.4 billion in the first stage. Stage 1 left off at just under $22.5 billion in net proceeds.
