The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has announced that the rural broadband experiments application filing window will open on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. EDT. Applicants will have 15 days from the opening of the filing window to submit their FCC Form 5610, making the application filing deadline Friday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. EST. To apply, parties must submit a completed FCC Form 5610, along with a dedicated bid form for each proposed project, a single descriptive data form listing all of their proposed projects, and certain project information. FCC Form 5610 will be available for download on October 23 at www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/rural-broadband-experiments. Applicants are encouraged to file as early in the application filing window as possible in order to have a sufficient amount of time to correct any errors.
