In a further effort to more efficiently use spectrum, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has opened a proceeding to determine the effect of incentives, industry-led efforts, and regulatory requirements on radio frequency (RF) receiver performance. The FCC notes that wireless communications require RF systems to transmit and receive radio signals, making both transmitters and receivers vital for enabling innovative and efficient spectrum use.
