The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB or Bureau) has extended its deadline for responding to Huawei Technologies Company’s (Huawei) Application for Review of the final designation of Huawei in the supply chain security proceeding to December 11, 2020. Huawei was initially designated in the Protecting Against National Security Threats Order (Order) as a covered company for being a threat to national security. Following that Order, on June 30, 2020, Huawei’s designation was finalized. Huawei sought review of the Bureau’s decision to finalize its designation. Due to the voluminous record in this proceeding, the Bureau has determined that there is good cause to delay a ruling on Huawei’s Application for Review in order to fully and adequately consider the evidence.
