NTIA has approved Indiana’s Initial Proposal for the $42.5 billion Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.  Indiana can now move to the implementation phase of the BEAD program, during which it can select providers and projects to pass funding to.  Indiana will have access to $868 million to fund projects proposed by subgrantees.  Indiana will have one year to submit a final proposal that details the outcome of the subgrantee selection process and how the state will ensure service to all unserved and underserved locations.  Indiana joins 15 other jurisdictions with full approval of their initial proposals.
