NTIA Announces $277 Million in Broadband Infrastructure Program Grants

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has announced the award of 13 grants, totaling more than $277 million, as part of the Broadband Infrastructure Program.  The Broadband Infrastructure Program, funded by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, was designed to support broadband infrastructure deployment in unserved and rural areas.  The awarded grants will be used to connect more than 133,000 unserved households in 12 states and one territory, including: Georgia, Guam, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia.
