FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has selected Kris Anne Monteith to serve as Chief of the Commission’s Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB). Monteith has been serving as Acting Chief of the WCB since her appointment in January 2017. In her two decades at the FCC, Monteith has held several leadership positions, including Acting Chief of the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau and Chief of the Enforcement Bureau. Prior to those roles, Monteith served as a Deputy Chief in the WCB, Media Bureau, and Wireless Telecommunications Bureau’s policy division.
