The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureaus) have the issued guidance to Mobility Fund Phase I and Tribal Mobility Fund Phase I recipients on the coverage reporting requirements to be used as part of their Form 690 annual reports and for requesting disbursements. The Bureaus also have pushed back this year’s deadline to file Form 690 annual reports by 30 days to July 31, 2014 to give Mobility Fund Phase I recipients additional time to prepare and submit the coverage data in the format specified by the guidance. Among other things, the guidance provides specifications for electronic shapefiles that must be used to submit coverage information, and explains how recipients may satisfy coverage reporting requirements for those locations for which recipients are unable to complete drive tests. The Bureaus also provide access to the FCC’s Geospatial Data Collection interface along with uploading instructions.
