The FCC has released the tentative agenda for its next open meeting scheduled for July 11, 2014. Agenda items include:
- An E-Rate order to focus support on Wi-Fi connectivity for schools and libraries;
- An order regarding the Connect America Fund Rural Broadband Experiments establishing a budget and a methodology for selecting winning applications for the next generation network experiments adopted in the FCC’s Tech Transitions Order; and
- An IP Closed Captioning reconsideration order and proposed rulemaking notice revisiting the FCC’s current determinations regarding the captioning of video clips when delivered using Internet protocol.
The July 11 meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time and will be webcast.
