The FCC’s International Bureau has undergone a functional and organizational realignment designed to provide greater efficiency and enable new analyses of trends in international communications. As a result of the reorganization: (i) the Strategic Analysis and Negotiations Division has been renamed the Global
Strategy and Negotiation Division; (ii)  responsibility for overseeing all international spectrum rulemakings has been transferred from the Policy Division to the Satellite Division; and (iii) the Policy Division has been renamed the Telecommunications and Analysis Division and will be responsible for all economic analysis and statistical reporting within the Bureau in addition to conducting foreign ownership reviews and licensing of International 214 authorizations and submarine cables.
