Representative Ashley Hinson (R-IA) has introduced a House companion bill to the Senate’s Defend Our Networks Act, with bipartisan support, that would fully fund the Reimbursement Program using unspent and unallocated COVD-19 relief emergency funds. Specifically, the legislation would reallocate roughly 3% of these COVID-19 funds for the Reimbursement Program. If the bill is enacted, the funds would be transferred to the Reimbursement Program within 90 days of enactment.
