The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the states of Arizona, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, as well as the California counties of Los Angeles and Riverside, have filed a lawsuit against Frontier Communications Corporation (Frontier), claiming Frontier misrepresented its Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) transmission speeds to consumers. The suit also contends that Frontier billed consumers for a more expensive Internet service tier than it provided.
