The FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau has extended the Emergency Alert System Test Reporting System filing deadline for all EAS participants from October 4, 2024, to October 18, 2024. The Bureau determined that the extension was necessary to reduce the burden on EAS participants currently recovering from the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
