The Federal Communications Commission has set comment dates in its text-to-911 rulemaking proceeding, in which the FCC proposed to require wireless telecommunications carriers to support text-to-911 by the end of the year in areas where 911 call centers can receive texts. Comments are due April 4 and reply comments are due May 5.
