The FCC has issued a Report and Order selecting the incumbent Industry Traceback Group, established by USTelecom – The Broadband Association, to continue as the registered consortium to lead robocall traceback efforts. This order was issued in accordance with the TRACED ACT, which requires the FCC annually to solicit applicants to serve as the registered consortium to conduct private-led efforts to trace back the origin of suspected illegal robocalls. iconectiv was considered for the selection, but the Commission ultimately determined that there was not enough evidence to conclude that it could serve as a neutral consortium.
