The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) has released impairment file format specifications in connection with the Incentive Auction. The Commission has determined that qualified bidders in the forward auction (Auction 1002) will have access to detailed impairment information upon receipt of their registration materials. The specifications set forth the file formats in which this information will be made available to qualified bidders. The Commission released specifications for impairment file formats now in order to enable prospective forward auction bidders to begin familiarizing themselves with the auction process, and plans to release specifications for forward auction bidding data file formats shortly.
