FCC Chairman Brendan Carr has pulled a draft Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that was circulated in 2022 under former FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel. The NPRM would have proposed expanding the number of new tower builds that must go through environmental reviews. Chairman Carr stated that the NPRM “attempted to double down on broken environmental laws.” Chairman Carr has pulled all six items on circulation for a vote by FCC commissioners.
