The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has proposed a $100,000 fine against Q Link Wireless LLC, Hello Mobile Telecom LLC, and Quadrant Holdings LLC for failing to respond to an FCC inquiry adequately and promptly into an alleged security flaw in their app, which may have permitted unauthorized access to consumer proprietary information.  The Bureau began the investigation in 2021 by requesting information from the companies regarding their duty to protect customer proprietary network information.  According to the Bureau, the companies provided inadequately detailed responses to the initial request. The Bureau then followed up with another inquiry that required a response by July 10, 2022, but the Bureau never received a response to that inquiry from the companies.
