The FCC’s Office of Economics and Analytics (OEA), Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB), and Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) have partially denied a request by PTI Pacifica seeking waiver of the deadlines for construction, drive testing, and reporting requirements that accompany the final disbursements of Mobility Fund Phase I support.  The request sought waivers of the deadlines concerning three census tracts in the Northern Mariana Islands, including Rota, Marpi, and Tinian. The FCC only addressed the Tinian census tract, finding that the request does not warrant an extension due to a lack of special circumstances and an extension would not be in the public interest.  The FCC ordered repayment of the support PTI Pacific has received from the Fund for the Tinian track.
