The Federal Communications Commission’s Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) has reissued a waiver of the push notification requirement for fixed and Mode II personal/portable white space devices and white space databases. The original 2016 waiver was set to expire on September 30, 2021, and is now extended through March 31, 2022. OET states that this extension will allow the Commission to fully consider pending petitions for reconsideration of the push notification rules.
