As the FCC has deactivated the Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS) in Georgia and South Carolina with respect to Hurricane Helene, communications providers no longer need to provide any additional reporting in DIRS for those areas. DIRS reporting remains active in certain areas of North Carolina and Tennessee. The Commission notes that DIRS deactivation does not release wireless providers from their MDRI obligations.
