The FCC has announced that the 2.5 GHz auction (Auction 108) will start on July 29, 2022. Auction 108 will be conducted using an ascending clock auction with a supply of one in each category of frequency-specific channel blocks. Short-form applications for Auction 108 are due on May 10, 2022. The FCC has released a Public Notice detailing the procedures, dates, and deadlines for Auction 108 as well as a mapping tool to help determine the extent there is unassigned 2.5 GHz spectrum in the U.S.
