The FCC has announced the establishment of an online reporting portal for advanced communications service providers to use to report on whether their networks contain or use covered communications equipment or services, as required by the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019. Providers must file in this online reporting portal regardless of whether they are eligible to participate in the Secure Networks Act Reimbursement Program. Past participation in the 2019 Supply Chain Information Collection does not constitute compliance with this requirement.
Initial reports must be filed by May 5, 2022. For providers that certify to not have any covered equipment or services, they will not need to file subsequent annual reports. For providers that do certify to have covered equipment or services in their networks, they must submit a report once a year on or before March 31 with respect to information as of December 31 of the previous year.
