The FCC has adopted rules that will increase the compliance burdens on Robocall Mitigation Database filers. The Robocall Mitigation Database houses information regarding service providers’ compliance with the FCC’s STIR/SHAKEN requirements. The adopted rules, among other things, require providers to make updates to their Database information within 10 days of any change; establish a higher base forfeiture amount, $10,000 for each violation, for providers filing false or inaccurate information; require providers to recertify their Database filings annually; and require providers to remit a $100 filing fee for initial and subsequent annual submissions.
