The National Telecommunications and Information Administration has awarded Digital Equity Capacity Grants to California, Georgia, Indiana, and New Mexico. California has been awarded $70,226,453 to establish a California Corps digital equity capacity grant program that would expand statewide and community-based digital inclusion and navigation programs. NTIA has awarded Georgia $22,455,639 to deploy Digital Navigators to help access online education, financial, health, and government services and to expand access to digital devices. Indiana has been awarded $15,096,770 to establish programs regarding telehealth expansion and accessibility of state websites and digital services. New Mexico has been awarded $8,673,975 to conduct stakeholder engagement, outreach, and education, and to evaluate the state’s Digital Equity plan.
