Commission Seeks Comment on Petitions for Reconsideration of U-NII Order

The Federal Communications Commission (Commission or FCC) has released a Public Notice seeking comments on seven petitions for reconsideration of its First Report and Order revising its rules for Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure (U-NII) devices.  Petitioners include Motorola Solutions, Inc., Mimosa Networks, Inc., the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association, JAB Wireless, Inc., EchoStar Technologies, L.L.C., Cambium Networks Ltd, and the Association of Global Automakers, Inc.  Petitioners ask the FCC to reconsider issues regarding equipment requirements and emissions limits.  Oppositions must be filed within 15 days of publication of the Public Notice in the Federal Register, which has not yet occurred.  Replies are due 10 days later.
