In December 2016, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) released a Notice of Inquiry seeking comment on how and to what extent the agency should tackle the issue of 5G network security. The Notice was recently published in the Federal Register, and comment deadlines have been set. Comments are due by April 24, 2017 and replies are due May 23, 2017 in PS Docket No. 16-353.
