The FCC has certified and approved Amdocs, Inc. as a Spectrum Access System (SAS) Administrator in the 3.5 GHz band Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS). The SAS is an automated frequency coordinator that facilitate sharing among tiers of authorized CBRS users. This announcement follows the laboratory testing and Initial Commercial Deployment (ICD) stages of the SAS approval process. The FCC, in coordination with other federal agencies, has reviewed and approved the Amdocs ICD Report. In the CBRS, General Authorized Access (GAA) operations are currently permitted while Priority Access Licenses (PALs), which are protected from GAA interference, are expected to be auctioned in Auction 105 starting in July 2020 in Auction 105.
