The FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) has approved C3Spectra’s application to operate an automated frequency coordination (AFC) system, subject to certain conditions. C3Spectra’s AFC system has undergone lab testing and a public trial, as directed by OET. C3Spectra’s AFC system is now permitted to manage access to spectrum in the U-NII-5 (5.925-6.425 GHz) and U-NII-7 (6.525-6.875 GHz) portions of the 6 GHz band for standard power access points and fixed client devices in accordance with the Commission’s rules.
