The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has released Version 2.1 of the Alternative Connect America Cost Model (A-CAM v2.1), which contains study area-specific plant mix values, an updated methodology for determining the presence of unsubsidized competitors, and a number of other minor updates. The Bureau has also released two reports that show annual support amounts for every rate-of-return carrier study area produced by A-CAM v2.1. Both reports utilize a funding benchmark of $52.50 and a $200 per-location funding cap. The second report (report 4.2) details the results of A-CAM v2.1’s alternative coverage option which removes support for census blocks served with broadband of at least 10/1 Mbps using either fiber to the premises or cable facilities.
