AT&T Services, Inc. (AT&T) has filed a proposal to conduct IP trials in a rural wire center in Carbon Hill, Alabama, and in Kings Point, a suburban wire center in Palm Beach County, Florida. Through multiple affiliates, AT&T currently provides TDM and IP-based services in the two wire centers, but is proposing to transition residential, business, and wholesale customers over to all IP services, and, in part, to wireless-based services. In place of its TDM-based voice and Internet access services, AT&T will offer AT&T’s U-verse Voice service, AT&T’s U-verse High Speed Internet services, and AT&T Mobility’s Wireless Home Phone and Wireless Home Phone and Internet with 4G LTE broadband services. A public version of AT&T’s proposal for wire center trials is available for download here. AT&T’s wire center trial operating plan is available here.
