American Rescue Plan Act Signed into Law Providing $7.1 Billion for Remote Learning

President Biden has signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act, which appropriates $7.1 billion to create an Emergency Connectivity Fund to be administered by the FCC. The Emergency Connectivity Fund, to be developed no later than May 10, 2021, will fully reimburse schools and libraries for reasonable costs associated with eligible equipment, advanced telecommunications and information services.  Eligible equipment will include Wi-Fi hotspots, modems, routers, and connected devices to assist students in their remote learning.
