The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has resolved challenges to 4,762 proposed locations for which Alaska Communications Systems (ACS) would receive Connect America Fund (CAF) Phase II high-cost support. Most challenges against ACS were filed by General Communication, Inc. The Bureau found 1,713 of the proposed ACS locations to be eligible for high-cost support, and it granted ACS’s request for an extension to submit its CAF Phase II deployment plan.
