Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has announced that Louisiana is opening its application filing window for prospective subgrantees to apply for Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment grants.  Louisiana was allocated $1.355 billion in funding to support broadband access.  Louisiana’s BEAD program, GUMBO 2.0, is expected to expand broadband access to 140,000 locations.  Applicants for GUMBO 2.0 are due by August 29 at 7:59am CST.  Louisiana is now the second state, along with Montana, to open its application filing window for BEAD grants.
