Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Cory Booker (D- NJ), and other Democrat senators introduced a bill, the Stop Corporate Capture Act, to codify the Chevron doctrine, a decades old principle that granted deference to federal agency rulemaking, into law and make changes to the regulatory rulemaking process.  The introduced bill would also require the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs to complete reviews of regulations within 120 days and would require all participants in rulemaking proceedings to disclose industry-funded research or other related conflicts of interest, among other rule changes to the rulemaking process.  Last month, the Chevron doctrine was overturned in Loper Bright Enterprises et al. v. Gina Raimondo, Secetary of Commerce, et al by the Supreme Court.
