The FCC has announced that the fifth Broadband Data Collection (BDC) filling window will open on July 1, 2024. Under the BDC program, the FCC requires facilities-based providers of broadband service and mobile voice service as well as all providers of fixed voice service to submit data specifying the provider’s coverage area and subscription base as of June 30, 2024. Filers must use the June 2024 update of the Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric (Fabric) to submit the data. The updated version of the Fabric will be made available to existing Fabric licensees prior to July 1, 2024.
Providers that have not yet accessed the Fabric may follow the instructions at the BDC Help Center. Additional information about the requirements for filers may be found at the BDC webpage. The filing window will close on September 1, 2024.
