The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has entered into a Consent Decree with Liberty Latin America, through Liberty’s subsidiaries Liberty Mobile Puerto Rico and Liberty Mobile USVI, regarding Liberty’s failure to timely report a data breach.  According to the Consent Decree, upon learning of the data breach, Liberty spent weeks simply determining which entity was required to make the required notification.  As of result of the settlement, Liberty will pay a civil penalty of $100,000 and be required to implement a compliance plan to ensure that appropriate procedures and practices are adopted to comply with the FCC’s CPNI rules.
