The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has issued a Public Notice to remind high-cost support recipients of the importance of their engagement in their state’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program challenge process to the accuracy of the BEAD coverage maps.  High-cost support recipients include recipients of Enhanced A-CAM, RDOF, CAF Phase II auction, Bringing Puerto Rico Together Fund, and Connect USVI Fund support.  These support recipients can find the contact information for their state broadband office here.

The Bureau also reminded high-cost support recipients that have Tribal lands in their service area of their obligation to engage with Tribal governments on an annual basis to ensure compliance with local rights of way, land use permitting facilities siting, and environmental and cultural preservation review processes.  The Bureau noted that continued engagement with Tribal governments will help ensure that duplicative funding is not awarded through the BEAD Program.
