The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has published a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Broadband Infrastructure Program, which was created by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. The Broadband Infrastructure Program will issue $288 million in grants to qualifying partnerships between governmental entities and fixed broadband providers for broadband buildout.
Complete applications must be received by August 17, 2021. NTIA expects to award grants to eligible participants by November 15, 2021 and expects the earliest start date for these grants to be November 29, 2021. Applications must be submitted electronically through www.grants.gov.
