The FCC has released a Public Notice seeking comment on “the state of competition in the communications marketplace, including competition to deliver voice, video, audio, and data services among providers of telecommunications, providers of commercial mobile service…multichannel video programming distributors…broadcast stations, providers of satellite communications, Internet service providers, and other providers of communications services.” The Commission is obligated to publish a Communications Marketplace Report in the last quarter of every even-numbered year, including this year. The 2018 Communications Market Report, reflecting data reported as of the end of 2017, was released on December 26, 2018. Additionally, in February 2020, the Commission updated the most recent report with certain figures, maps, and tables collected during 2018. Comments are due on Monday, April 13, 2020 and reply comments are due Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
