The Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service has released the 2016 Universal Service Monitoring Report, which details the impact of the universal service fund support mechanisms and the method used to finance them. The report is based on data available as of September 2016 that is culled from the FCC and several other sources, including the National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA) and Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).
