Due to technical issues, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) is giving E-rate participants with an October 28, 2016 invoice deadline for Funding Year 2015 a brief extension of time (i.e., until 11:59 pm on October 31, 2016) to request an extension of the invoice deadline. The FCC’s rules allow applicants and service providers to receive a one-time, 120-day extension of the invoice deadline for any cause, if the billed entity or service provider requests the extension before the invoice deadline.  On October 28, 2016, the Bureau learned of various technical issues that were preventing invoice deadline extension requests from being granted.  The USAC guidance for entities and service providers seeking a one-time, 120-day extension is available at: http://usac.org/sl/tools/newsbriefs/preview.aspx?id=724.
