The Federal Communications Commission has denied an application for review filed by Madison Telephone Company which sought Commission-level review of a Wireline Competition Bureau decision denying Madison’s request for waiver of the FCC’s Safety Valve Support rules. In its waiver petition, Madison claimed it mistakenly received what it thought was Safety Valve Support, but instead was actually Safety Net Additive support, and sought waiver of the FCC’s rules to receive the full amount of support it should have received. In its decision denying the application for review, the Commission agreed with the Bureau’s conclusion that Madison failed to demonstrate good cause for waiver.
